I got into design because I love taking things apart, figuring out why they didn't work, then rebuilding something better. I first felt it when playing The Sims as a kid, tearing down entire cities block by block and spending days rebuilding them smarter than before. Now I do the same thing professionally as a product designer at J.P. Morgan Chase. I listen for where people get stuck, deconstruct the screens and flows causing it, and rebuild until they don't. Trust has to be earned, never assumed — and the only way to earn it is by truly listening first.
